New Storyline Arc Guides

Discover the pedagogical reasoning behind PEER Physics' strategic sequencing!

Our new Storyline Arc Guides explain why our Charge→Magnetism→Waves and Energy→Force→Gravitation sequences support conceptual development and address common preconceptions.

These guides help teachers and administrators understand how concepts build progressively across units, increasing confidence in delivering conceptually coherent physics instruction.

What's on your reading list?

As you prepare to head into winter break, what’s on your reading list? Our team members love cozying up with a good novel or digging into research and recommendations from leaders in our field.

Here’s what we’re reading:

In advance of digging into the the release of Mathematics Tasks for the Thinking Classroom, Grades 6-12 by Peter Liljedahl, our team is revisiting Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics and seeing so much overlap between the strategies and recommendations from Liljedahl and what we’re striving for in PEER Physics courses. We’re also thinking about efficiency so we can maximize our time together to collaborate, so we’re gearing up to read Scrum The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time by Jeff Sutherland.

And of course, many of our team members love stepping into fiction…

Emily is reading The Lost Metal by Brandon Sanderson

Julian is reading Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane

Shelly is reading The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

Daniela’s is reading The Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson

Taylor is reading Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate

Cata is reading Jamás el fuego nunca by  Diamela Eltit (English version is Never Did the Fire)

Jorge is reading The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

What are you reading? Fill out our survey! We’ll highlight your “good reads” on our social channels this winter.

Celebrating Success

Gordon Fluckiger is a physics teacher in Utah who was an early adopter of PEER Physics in his district, and has always been thoughtful and intentional in applying techniques, strategies, and reflections from professional learning into his classroom. During his time as a member of the PEER Physics community, Gordon has always been a conscientious contributor who cared deeply about his students and about the ways PEER Physics could support his continuing growth and journey as a teacher. As a 2025 Summer Innovator, Gordon will be able to contribute to the broader PEER Physics community in new ways!

Thanks for your passion and dedication, Gordon! We're honored to work with you.
